MNRF Treatment in Ambattur, Chennai

How MNRF works
Fine insulated or non-insulated needles create controlled channels while radiofrequency energy is delivered within the skin. The resulting thermal and mechanical effect is intended to stimulate collagen remodelling over time.
MNRF differs from traditional microneedling because it adds controlled radiofrequency energy. It also differs from fractional CO2 laser, which treats the skin using fractional columns of laser energy. The best option depends on scar type, depth, skin tone and acceptable downtime.
Scar assessment and treatment planning
Rolling, boxcar, ice-pick and raised scars respond differently. Active acne should be controlled, and tethered or deep scars may need another procedure alongside or instead of MNRF. Standardised photographs can help document gradual change.

Procedure, recovery and expected course
After cleansing and appropriate comfort measures, the clinician selects needle depth and energy for each area. Redness, warmth, swelling and pinpoint crusting may follow. Recovery varies with treatment intensity and individual skin response.
Collagen remodelling is gradual, so changes are assessed over months. Several sessions may be proposed, but number and spacing should be based on the scar plan and response rather than a guaranteed package result.
Risks and aftercare
Temporary sensitivity, bruising, acne flare, infection, prolonged redness and post-inflammatory pigmentation are possible. Rarely, scarring or an unsatisfactory texture response can occur. Gentle skincare and diligent sunscreen use are important during recovery.
Questions patients often ask
Is MNRF better than microneedling for acne scars?
MNRF reaches selected depths with added radiofrequency energy, but it is not automatically better for every scar. Scar type and healing risk determine the plan.
How long does redness last?
Redness and swelling commonly settle over several days, although stronger settings and reactive skin can take longer. Your clinician should explain the expected recovery for the planned intensity.
Can PRP be combined with MNRF?
PRP may be discussed as an adjunct in selected protocols, but its role, timing, evidence and added cost should be explained rather than assumed necessary.
