Dermal Thread Lift in Ambattur, Chennai

A thread lift places selected absorbable sutures beneath the skin to create a limited repositioning effect. It is not a substitute for surgical lifting, and suitability depends on anatomy, tissue quality and realistic expectations.

What a dermal thread lift does

Threads are inserted along planned paths beneath the skin. Barbs, cones or another thread design may provide mechanical support while the material gradually absorbs. Product design, insertion plane and anchoring strategy affect the result and risk.

The procedure may suit selected people seeking a modest, temporary change. It cannot remove excess skin or reproduce the repositioning achieved by surgery.

Suitability and treatment planning

The clinician reviews facial anatomy, skin thickness and laxity, asymmetry, previous fillers or threads, infection, scarring tendency, bleeding risk and medicines. The exact thread material, number and proposed vectors should be explained before consent.

Recovery and expected duration

Swelling, bruising, tenderness, tightness, dimpling and temporary asymmetry may occur. Patients may receive restrictions on facial massage, dental procedures, vigorous exercise, exaggerated facial movement and sleeping position during early recovery.

Results are temporary and vary with tissue, technique and product. Additional threads should not be used to compensate for an unsuitable indication or unrealistic lifting goal.

Risks and reasons for prompt review

Possible complications include infection, persistent pain, visible or palpable threads, extrusion, migration, contour irregularity, asymmetry, nerve or vessel injury and an unfavourable result. Increasing redness, discharge, severe pain or exposed thread requires prompt assessment.

Questions patients often ask

Is a thread lift the same as a facelift?

No. A thread lift is minimally invasive and produces a more limited, temporary effect. It does not remove excess skin like surgery.

Are dermal threads permanent?

Many current thread-lift products are absorbable, but product composition and duration vary and should be confirmed before treatment.

Can threads be combined with fillers?

A staged combination may be considered, but anatomy, product interactions, timing and cumulative risk require a specific plan.

What if a thread becomes visible?

Do not pull or cut it yourself. Contact the treating clinic promptly for assessment.
