Korean Facial in Ambattur, Chennai

Korean facial is a broad service name rather than one fixed medical protocol. At iGlow, the steps and products are selected for the patient’s skin condition, sensitivity and goals instead of applying the same routine to everyone.

What a Korean facial means at iGlow

The term Korean facial is used for layered skincare routines that may include cleansing, gentle exfoliation, hydration, masks and barrier-support products. It is not one regulated formula, device or guaranteed route to so-called glass skin.

The consultation identifies whether the main concern is dryness, congestion, sensitivity, uneven tone or simple maintenance. Active acne, dermatitis, rosacea, infection or a recent procedure may require the routine to be simplified, postponed or replaced with medical care.

How the facial is personalised

Products are selected around skin type, current medicines, allergies, pregnancy status and use of retinoids or exfoliating acids. The treatment should avoid unnecessary layering when the barrier is already irritated.

  • Current skincare and prescription products
  • History of sensitivity or product allergy
  • Active acne, rash or broken skin
  • Recent peels, laser, waxing or injectable treatment

Session, results and aftercare

A session may move from cleansing and surface preparation to selected hydration and finishing products. Mild temporary pinkness or sensitivity can occur, especially when exfoliation is included. Sunscreen and a simple home routine are usually prioritised afterwards.

A facial can improve the temporary feel and appearance of the surface, but it cannot permanently change natural skin colour, erase scars or treat an undiagnosed skin disease.

When another treatment may fit better

Persistent pigmentation, inflamed acne, scarring, recurrent allergy or infection needs diagnosis-led treatment. Hydra facial, oxygen facial, chemical peels and carbon peel also have different mechanisms and should not be treated as interchangeable package names.

Questions patients often ask

Is a Korean facial the same everywhere?

No. Steps, products and devices vary between clinics. iGlow selects the protocol after assessing the skin.

Will it create permanent glass skin?

No. Hydration and surface radiance are temporary and depend on skincare, sun exposure and the underlying skin condition.

Can it be performed during active acne?

That depends on acne severity and the planned steps. Inflamed or infected lesions may require medical acne treatment first.

How is it different from a Hydra facial?

Hydra facial usually refers to a device-assisted cleansing and hydration protocol. Korean facial describes a broader layered skincare approach.

Start with a diagnosis, not a package

A consultation helps the clinical team confirm the concern, discuss suitable options and explain the expected course, limitations and aftercare.
